From stuff that I hear a lot lately, I can deduce that the Bubble is back. Startups in every nook and corner and VCs willing to open up their pockets to the craziest idea on the table. Ah, that doesn't sound much different from pre 2000 times. So what's the biggest problem that companies have during the bubble.. Retaining the workforce. Quality workforce needs couple of things to make them stick. For me it is a) Quality work and b) Appreciation of your quality work. Here is a nice blog entry by Scott Maxwell talking about attracting, retaining and motivating high caliber work force. FYI, Scott is a VC focusing on Software and Internet.
watch the rates
Cheap money is flooding everything, from homes to startups. It's already losing some steam as the rates have gone up. Watch it really lose steam after the next rate increase ;)
